Copper clad aluminum (CCA) wire is a bimetallic wire with a copper cladding concentrically covering an aluminum core, which combines the optimum properties of both metals in a single composite material ideally suited for most electrical conductor applications. The processing method of CCA wire is similar to that of copper wire during cable manufacture.
The wire is divided into two mechanical status: Annealed (A) and Hard drawn (H), and two kinds of copper percentage in volume: 10% and 15%.

copper clad aluminum wire possesses the compound traits of copper’s conductivity and aluminum’s small consistency, so that it can be widely used in many scopes
Fine ductibility and processing quality:
like the pure copper wire, it can be drawn and annealed, also it can be more processed to copper covered aluminum enameled wire, copper clad aluminum tinning wire, bare wire and plating.
Obvious economic benefit:
the consistency of the copper clad aluminum accounts for 37-10% of the pure copper, therefore, using the length of the lead and of intension to produce electrical wire and cable can greatly lose manufacture cost.
